Geonna Jordan has a diverse work experience. Most recently, they worked as a Care Support Representative II at Maven Clinic starting in July 2021. Prior to that, they were a Healthcare Management Intern at Wake Forest Baptist Health from August 2019 to May 2020. In this role, they focused on improving access and outcomes for Black women in maternal-fetal health. Geonna also worked as a Resident Advisor at Winston-Salem State University from July 2018 to March 2020, where they facilitated workshops and provided support for students. Geonna was a Certified Writing Consultant at the National Tutoring Association from April 2017 to August 2019, offering assistance with writing and communication skills. Additionally, Geonna worked as a Biological Sciences Student Teacher's Assistant at Winston-Salem State University's Office of Science Initiatives from August 2017 to May 2018, providing academic support to students. Geonna began their professional journey as an Administrative Specialist I in the Mayor's Youth Employment & Education Program in June 2016, where they managed office operations and assisted with project management.

Geonna Jordan pursued their education in healthcare management and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Winston-Salem State University between 2016 and 2020. Geonna also completed a minor in Business during this time. Currently, from 2022 to 2024, Geonna is attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they are working towards a Master of Public Health degree, specializing in Leadership in Practice as an MPH Candidate.
