Chris Butler

Chris Butler is currently serving as the Staff Product Operations Manager at GitHub, where responsibilities include managing the PM experience for the AI & Productivity team and acting as the Lead Responsible AI Champion. In addition, Chris is Showrunner at Near Future Laboratory, focusing on design fiction projects, and Co-Founder of The Uncertainty Project. Chris instructs an AI Product Design Patterns course at Maven and advises Dotwork. Previously, Chris held the position of Group Product Manager at Google, overseeing core machine learning strategies and contributing to PM development programs. Additional experience includes a grant recipient role at Urbit Foundation, an Associate Professor at ArtCenter College of Design, and an Assistant Vice President at Cognizant, leading a community of product managers. Chris holds a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University and completed an introductory course in Computer Games Design at the Academy of Art University.
