Justin F. Foley has a wide range of work experience in the oil and gas industry, as well as in the legal and education sectors. Justin F. started their career as a Sergeant of Marines in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1996 to 2005. After that, they worked as a Senior Landman for Petrohawk Energy from 2008 to 2012 and as a Senior Landman for Hilcorp from 2012 to 2013. Justin F. then served as a Land Supervisor for LINN Energy, LLC from 2013 to 2014 and as a Director of Land and Legal for Terrace Energy from 2014 to 2016. Following that, they held the position of Vice President Land at Sanchez Oil & Gas Corporation from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they are working as the Vice President - Land at Maverick Natural Resources, LLC since 2019. In addition to their industry roles, they are also an Adjunct Professor at St. Mary's University School of Law starting from 2020.
Justin F. Foley has a diverse education history. In 1999, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Latin American Studies from Appalachian State University. Following this, from 2004 to 2006, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Jacksonville University. Subsequently, they attended South Texas College of Law Houston, where they earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from 2007 to 2010. Continuing their legal education, Justin obtained a Diploma - Curso Internacional in El Sistema Juridico Mexicano from Universidad de Guadalajara in 2017. Justin F. then went on to pursue a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International and Comparative Law from St. Mary's University School of Law, completing it in 2017 as well. More recently, in 2020, they received a Certificate in Change Management from Cornell University.
