Roy Mitchell

Roy Mitchell has a wealth of experience in the legal field, primarily focused on the oil and gas industry. Roy started their career as a Law Clerk at Weatherford, where they reviewed and negotiated domestic master service agreements and assisted in the development of a Corporate Compliance Program. Roy then became a Legal Counsel at Weatherford, responsible for reviewing and negotiating various domestic and global oil field service contracts. Roy also provided legal guidance for North American transactions and assisted in drafting template contracts.

After their time at Weatherford, Roy joined Eagle Rock Energy Partners as a Staff Attorney, where they reviewed and negotiated procurement contracts and updated the company's brand management policy. Roy later became a Senior Attorney, leading key commercial agreements and serving as counsel for operations and procurement in the midstream and upstream businesses. Roy was also involved in major acquisitions and divestitures.

Following their tenure at Eagle Rock, Roy joined Sheridan Production Company as a Senior Counsel. In this role, they provided legal support for oil and gas production operations and land-related issues. Roy also negotiated and managed various acquisitions and divestitures, as well as overseeing assigned litigation.

Currently, Roy is working at Maverick Natural Resources. Roy initially served as a Senior Counsel before being promoted to Assistant General Counsel & Corporate Secretary. In their current role as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, they are responsible for legal matters and corporate governance.

Roy Mitchell attended the University of St. Thomas (TX) from 2003 to 2007, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science. Following their undergraduate studies, Roy Mitchell enrolled at the South Texas College of Law Houston, where they pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from 2007 to 2010.
