Jaren Lee has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and research. Jaren started their career at LSU AgCenter as a Research Associate in 2011 and then moved on to the Cain Department of Chemical Engineering in 2012. At Cain, Jaren held multiple positions, including Graduate Research Associate and Research Associate. In these roles, they conducted various research projects, including the purification of syngas and studying the chemical fate of hydrocarbons from the BP Horizon Oil Spill. Jaren operated laboratory equipment such as GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and FTIR Spectrometer to analyze samples. Jaren also worked as a Unit Operations Lab Assistant, where they maintained pilot-plant scale processes and implemented improved methodologies for analysis. In 2018, Jaren joined MAVERICK Technologies, A Rockwell Automation Company as an Engineer I, and later promoted to Engineer II. The duration of their current role at MAVERICK is ongoing.

Jaren Lee holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, which was obtained from Louisiana State University in the year 2016. Prior to that, Jaren obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution, completing the program between 2011 and 2013. Additionally, Jaren has obtained a certification as an Engineer In Training from the Louisiana Professional Engineer and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS) in September 2013.
