John Salama, CMT began their work experience in 2008 as an Equity Derivatives Broker at Tullett Prebon, where they gained recognition for acquiring a client through cold calling and executing trades in various international equities markets. John then moved on to MYD Market as an Equity Derivatives Broker, where they achieved over $750k in new institutional client sales and managed trade settlements. After that, they joined Baycrest Partners as a Director, where they built an OTC equity derivatives trading desk and oversaw various operations. John later joined Intercontinental Exchange as a Sales Executive, where they advanced a $4 million book of business by 20% and fostered long-term client relationships. Next, they served as an Associate Director, Client Success Manager at IHS Markit, where they maintained strategic client relationships, facilitated client engagement, and managed opportunities to increase revenue. Currently, they are working at Maverick Trading as an Equities & Options Trader, where they created and developed a quantitative systems model, designed a rules-based trading system, and utilizes technical analysis triggers for trade initiation and risk management.

John Salama, CMT, earned their Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance & Real Estate from Temple University from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including the CMT Charter from the CMT Association, Inc. in August 2021, and the Series 55, Series 63, and Series 7 certifications from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in September 2008.
