Farouk Ramji has held various positions in the business world since 2008. In 2009, they were a Co-chair for JDC West, a Western Canada's largest business competition, Restaurant Manager at ABC Restaurant, and a 5 days for the homeless participant at CPAH. In 2010, they took on the role of Project Portfolio Manager and Project Specialist at Roshan. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Acting Chief Operating Officer and Program Manager at Smart East Africa. In 2017, they became the Chief Transformation & Performance Officer and Director Transformation & Performance at Telkom Kenya, and in 2021 they became the Chief Executive Officer at Mawingu. Throughout their career, Farouk has been responsible for leading complex merger transactions, structuring project-based approaches to maximize shareholder value, increasing revenue and sales, and developing unique product offerings.

Farouk Ramji attended the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Human Resource Mangement. In 2009, they attended the Institute of Ismaili Studies. In 2016, they attended INSEAD for a Management Skills for International Business course.
