Marcus Franklin has a diverse work experience spanning from 2004 to 2021. Marcus began their career in 2004 as an Account Executive for National City Mortgage, where they managed a variety of mortgage brokers and achieved sales goals of $1. In 2009, they became the Owner of 4 Ever Distributing Inc. and AlumaSkin, where they manufactured high-end protective cases for iPhones, iTouches and iPods. Marcus then became the Owner of Click Wholesale Distributors in 2012, where they were responsible for managing high profile accounts stretching up and down the I-90 corridor from North Bend to Seattle. In 2018, they became the Digital Account Executive for SINCRO DIGITAL SL and the Digital Solutions Manager for CDK Global (International). Finally, in 2021, they became the Vice President of Marketing for Max Connect Marketing, where they identified target audiences based on real-time in-market data and placed hyper-targeted ads in front of those individuals.

Marcus Franklin attended Lake Washington High School from 1983 to 1985, and then Walla Walla Community College from 1986 to 1987, where they earned an Associates degree in Sales & Marketing. Marcus also obtained two certifications from LinkedIn: "How to Engage Meaningfully in Allyship and Anti-Racism" in November 2020, and "Asking Great Sales Questions" in May 2020.
