Maxwell Zotz has a diverse work experience in the music industry and related fields. Maxwell is currently the Head of Music & Senior Director of Artist Relations at Music Audience Exchange - MAX, a role they have held since May 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Artist Relations at the same company from June 2018 to May 2021.
In 2021, Zotz also became an Advisory Board Member at Fanpage.com.
Before joining Music Audience Exchange - MAX, Zotz took a "walkabout" in the music industry after leaving their second start-up in 2016. During this time, they worked as a Manager and Tour Manager for Sammy Adams, taking charge of major music releases and social media engagement.
From 2012 to 2016, Zotz co-founded and served as the President and Tour Producer at Verge Campus Media. Maxwell successfully created and organized the Verge Campus Tour, the largest national lifestyle college music tour in the United States. Additionally, they secured sponsorships with major brands and generated over $2 million in revenue.
In 2011, Zotz co-founded and served as the President of EMUZE, an entertainment discovery site/app. Maxwell also worked at Karmaloop as the Manager of the Rep Program, overseeing a team of over 135,000 street reps worldwide and increasing revenue by $1.5 million.
Before that, they managed and toured with the EDM act 5 & A Dime, securing numerous shows and placements alongside well-known artists.
Early in their career, Zotz worked as the Collegiate Marketing Manager for CRUNK!!! Energy Drink, managing college representatives and executing promotional campaigns. Maxwell also gained marketing experience as a Marketing Intern at Zambrero Fresh Mex Grill, where they developed a marketing strategy and executed a launch event. Overall, Zotz's work experience demonstrates their expertise in artist relations, event production, tour management, marketing, and brand partnerships in the music industry. So in 2018, they joined Music Audience Exchange - MAX as a Director of Artist Relations and later promoted to the Head of Music & Senior Director of Artist Relations.
Maxwell Zotz attended Brandeis University where they obtained a BA degree in International and Global Studies with a focus on Business. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Gould Academy and Boston College High School. Maxwell also attended Inly School, a private Montessori school in Scituate, MA, from kindergarten to 8th grade.
