Head of Business Readiness | Digital Division at Max Mara Fashion Group S.r.l

Matteo Modenese has a diverse and extensive work experience. Matteo is currently the Head of Business Readiness at Max Mara Fashion Group, a position they have held since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Ecommerce Teacher at H-FARM College starting from May 2020. In 2020, they also served as the Head of Operations & Innovation at THUN until January 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, Matteo held the position of Head of Ecommerce & Omnichannel at D.M.O. S.p.A., where they were responsible for the growth of their online drugstore platform and the startup of their Ecommerce division. Matteo also implemented commercial and operations strategies, as well as lean turnaround initiatives for the warehouse.

Before that, they held a similar role as Head of Ecommerce & Omnichannel at L'Isola dei Tesori, a retail chain specializing in pet products. Matteo contributed to the significant growth of their online petstore and was fully responsible for the Ecommerce startup, commercial strategy, and operations strategy.

Matteo's experience in the online fashion industry includes their tenure at YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP, where they held various leadership roles from 2015 to 2018. Matteo served as the Head of Customer Experience, overseeing digital production and customer care. Matteo was also responsible for the development of new customer services and omnichannel strategy, as well as implementing marketing strategies for luxury services. Prior to that, they held roles in innovation, operational excellence, and digital operations.

Matteo has also worked as a fashion logistics teacher at Università degli Studi di Verona in 2018 and served as an advisory committee member at Istituto Marangoni in 2017.

Earlier in their career, Matteo worked at YOOX as a Process Reengineering Manager, Product Digitalization Manager, and Operations Analyst from 2009 to 2015. Matteo started their professional journey as a Business Analyst at Business Integration Partners from 2008 to 2009.

Matteo Modenese completed their Laurea degree in Ingegneria delle telecomunicazioni from the Università di Trento from 2000 to 2003. Matteo further pursued a Laurea Specialistica in Ingegneria Gestionale from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 2004 to 2007. In 2017, they obtained certification in Green Belt Six Sigma from CHIARINI & ASSOCIATI - CHIARINI & ASSOCIATES.
