Vikram Sarkhel

Vikram Sarkhel is a Data Scientist at Maxar Technologies since May 2019, focusing on the creation of synthetic datasets for training computer vision machine learning models and conducting research on model compression and curriculum learning. Prior experience includes roles as a Junior Data Scientist and Data Science Intern, testing machine learning algorithms on embedded hardware, and a Research Assistant at ODU Research Foundation, where Vikram developed an inertial guidance algorithm and a SPI communication interface for IMU data. At ODU BAJA, Vikram served as a Computer Engineer, designing a custom electronic transmission system and generating associated documentation. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Old Dominion University and an Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northern Virginia Community College.
