SIBAJI Mitra started their career at Usha International as an Intern and Management Trainee from 1992 to 1995.

Sibaji Mitra has a diverse educational background. SIBAJI completed their Post Graduation in HRM from XLRI Jamshedpur. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta, where they studied from 1986 to 1989. Sibaji completed their 10th and 12th grades in Science from Collegiate School, where they attended from 1977 to 1986.

In addition to their formal education, Sibaji Mitra has also obtained additional certifications. SIBAJI obtained a TPM certification from JIPM & CII in 2006 and a Six Sigma certification from Wipro in 2005.
