Earl Waal

Earl Waal is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Group Director Legal, Communications & Company Secretary at Maxeda DIY Group, the largest DIY retailer in the Benelux, since October 2007. Waal is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and has held various roles in legal counsel, including positions at Praxis Doe-Het-Zelf Center B.V. and ING Wholesale Banking. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate in corporate law at HVG - Holland Van Gijzen Advocaten en Notarissen LLP, and as Legal Counsel at Philips International B.V. with a focus on intellectual property and licensing agreements. Waal began an academic career as an Assistant to a professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, holding a Master's degree in Law and further qualifications in Energy Law.
