Yafu Lin is a seasoned professional in the solar technology sector with a robust career spanning over a decade, currently serving as Sr. Director of R&D at Maxeon Solar Technologies since May 2022. Prior experience includes Engineering Director at SunPower Corporation, where significant contributions included the development of revolutionary shingling technology, resulting in considerable efficiency gains and cost reductions. Yafu Lin has successfully launched over 10 solar products, impacting global markets with over 10 GW shipped to more than 60 countries. With a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, holding a Ph.D. from Clemson University and a Master's from Zhejiang University, Yafu Lin has made impactful advancements from roles at Cogenra Solar, Hanwha Q CELLS, and earlier academic research positions, including patents in solar cell technology and expertise in manufacturing processes.
