Carrie O'Brien

Carrie O'Brien's work experience includes serving as the SVP, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Maxim Healthcare Staffing since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Maxim Healthcare Services (Home Care) where they held the positions of Chief Counsel, Litigation & Risk Management from February 2020 to January 2022, and Assistant General Counsel, Litigation from July 2017 to February 2020. Carrie also worked as a Litigation Attorney at Franklin & Prokopik, PC from August 2013 to July 2017. Additionally, they had experience as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Laura S. Ripken at Maryland Judiciary from August 2012 to August 2013, a Law Clerk at Rollins, Smalkin, Richards & Mackie, LLC from May 2011 to May 2012, and a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Lynne A. Battaglia at Maryland Judiciary from January 2011 to May 2011. Carrie had further intern experience as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Yvette Bryant at Maryland Judiciary from May 2010 to August 2010, and as a Consumer Protection Intern at Maryland Office of the Attorney General from May 2008 to August 2008.

Carrie O'Brien obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, from Loyola University Maryland. Carrie then pursued studies in Art History and International Politics at The American University of Paris. Carrie later earned a Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Additionally, they hold certifications as a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Maryland State Bar, as well as a Risk Financing Certificate from the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM).
