Vanessa Powell

Vanessa Powell is the current Associate Director at Maximus International. Vanessa has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on Organizational Development, Talent Management, and Leadership Development.

Vanessa started their career in 1996 as a Team Manager at Staff and Executive Resources, where they were responsible for recruitment and psychological assessment. Vanessa then moved to TMP Worldwide in 1998, where they spent four years as the Organisational Development Manager. In this role, Vanessa created the learning and development strategy, managed talent and succession planning, and led cultural change initiatives.

In 2002, Vanessa joined Maximus International as the Associate Director. In this role, they are responsible for leading the organization’s talent management and leadership development programs. Vanessa has been instrumental in developing and implementing successful succession planning initiatives that have helped Maximus International retain its top talent.

After completing their undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Newcastle, Vanessa Powell attended Harvard Business School to earn their MBA in business administration and management. Vanessa then began their career working for leading professional services firms in the business field.

Vanessa Powell reports to Vanessa Gavan, Founder & Joint Managing Director. Vanessa Powell works with Jamie Christopherson - Director, James Keeler - Director, and Danielle Moore - Associate Director.
