Marvin Liong

Marvin Liong has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Marvin is currently the Head of IoT Practice at Maxis, where they are responsible for ensuring departmental revenue targets are met and driving the implementation of IoT, 5G, and private networks for key accounts. Prior to this role, Marvin worked as a Technology Development Senior Specialist at Maxis, where they played a key role in the network and spectrum strategy. Marvin was also a Radio Technologist at Maxis, where they introduced LTE advancements and played a crucial role in making Maxis a technology leader. Marvin has also worked at Huawei as a Senior Product Manager, where they supported the regional technical office and influenced cellular service providers to adopt wireless cellular product offerings. Earlier in their career, Marvin worked at Altobridge Sdn Bhd as a Product Manager and Customer Service Engineer, and at Telekom Malaysia as an Assistant Manager in Fault Management BTS and Technology Management BSC/BTS.

Marvin Liong obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electronics majoring in Computer from Multimedia University, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Marvin also holds various certifications in fields such as selling, cybersecurity awareness, negotiation strategies, executive presence, enterprise architecture, and business analysis. The obtained certifications range from 2021 to 2022 and were completed through institutions such as LinkedIn and The Open Group.
