The Maxol Group (www.maxol.ie) is Ireland’s leading family owned oil company. Our business, which was established in Ireland in 1920 by William McMullan, markets a comprehensive range of oil and petroleum products to all sectors of the Irish Market, through our Retail, Commercial and Lubricants divisions and continues to grow today under the ownership of the McMullan family.

Today, with our Network of service stations and fuel and lubricants distributors, we have one of the strongest 32 county All-Ireland networks in the industry.  Of the 200 plus Maxol branded service stations in our Network, over 100 are owned by private individuals who have selected Maxol as their chosen brand and fuel supplier. Our Retail Area Managers always welcome the opportunity to speak with service station owners about how joining Maxol can help benefit their business.

Maxol itself also owns nearly 100 service stations. However, we don’t operate these ourselves but prefer to typically license the premises to locally based business men and women, who are experienced in retailing and connected with the local community. This is Maxol’s Licensee model and one which has served our business well for many years.
