Laura D'Ignazio, PhD, currently serves as Senior Key Account Manager and Senior Application Scientist at MaxWell Biosystems since November 2022. Prior to this role, Laura was a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Lieber Institute for Brain Development from February 2019 to November 2022, focusing on the disease-causal mechanisms of X-linked Dystonia Parkinsonism. Laura also conducted research as a Wellcome Trust PhD Student at the University of Dundee from September 2014 to December 2018, studying the role of HIF-1b in the NF-kB pathway. Earlier experience includes a Visiting Fellow position at the National Institutes of Health, where investigations centered on germ cell and follicle loss in the mouse ovarian reserve. Education includes a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Dundee, alongside multiple master's degrees and a bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universita' degli studi di Urbino "Carlo Bo."
