Jerry Hand

SVP, Facilities at May Institute

Jerry Hand is currently the Senior Vice President of Facilities at May Institute. Jerry has over 20 years of experience in the facilities management field.

Jerry started their career in 1997 as the Manager of Engineering at Equity Office Properties. Jerry was responsible for the maintenance and operation of a portfolio of commercial office buildings totaling over 10 million square feet. Jerry oversaw a team of engineers and technicians and was responsible for ensuring that all building systems were operating efficiently and effectively.

In 2005, Jerry joined CBRE as the Director of Facilities. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of a portfolio of 350 buildings totaling 27 million square feet of industrial and commercial properties. Jerry created and administered operational budgets for all leased and owned properties, including monthly and quarterly variance reports. Jerry worked with building landlords to ensure that all owner lease obligations were met. Jerry also directed facility management staff to deliver service levels within the prescribed budget to the client.

In 2013, Jerry joined May Institute as the Senior Vice President of Facilities. In this role, they are responsible for all aspects of the organization's facilities, including maintenance, operations, security, and safety. Jerry also oversees the construction and renovation of all May Institute facilities.

Jerry Hand has an Associates Degree in Business Management from Northern Essex Community College.

Jerry Hand reports to Lauren C. Solotar, President & CEO. They are on a team with Terese Brennan - SVP, Quality Improvement & Compliance, Tracy Davis - General Counsel, and Brian Carbone - SVP, May Center for Adult Services.
