Shasa Antao

Shasa Antao is an accomplished Senior Perception Engineer with extensive experience in the field of robotics and perception engineering. Currently at May Mobility since April 2025, Shasa has previously held senior positions at Onward Robotics and ThorDrive, working on cutting-edge projects related to autonomous driving and perception systems. Notable achievements include developing algorithms for geometry-based puddle detection, implementing object detection frameworks with few-shot learning, and contributing to multi-robot collaborative SLAM systems. Prior experience includes a Master's degree in Robotic Systems Development from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Amrita School of Engineering. Early career positions include a summer internship at ALERT INNOVATION and product development engineering at Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, where Shasa led the development of innovative agricultural technologies.
