Nell Whitman

Nell Whitman is an experienced finance professional with a strong track record in non-profit management. Currently serving as the Finance Director at Maybelle Center for Community since March 2018, Nell oversees financial operations while addressing the needs of low-income residents in Old Town/Chinatown. Prior roles include Director of Finance at Cascade AIDS Project, where Nell managed financial operations during a period of significant expansion, and Director of Finance & Administration at SMART, where financial reporting and expense management were prioritized. Nell's career includes leadership positions at Oregon Food Bank, Saturday Academy, Human Solutions, INC, Lawyers' Committee for Better Housing, and Chicago Women's Health Center, demonstrating a commitment to improving financial performance and supporting various community-focused initiatives. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Non-profit Management from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, a MA in Linguistics from the University of Chicago, and a BA in German from Alfred University.
