Laurie Mavica

Laurie Mavica is an accomplished professional in event management and community engagement, currently serving as the Director of Special Events and Event Sales at Maymont since August 2025. With prior experience as the Manager of Events at Richmond SPCA, Mavica was responsible for generating $1 million annually and overseeing over 50 events each year. Mavica has also held various roles in digital media and community engagement, including positions at Richmond Times-Dispatch and Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, where skills in marketing, event production, and digital strategy were honed. Mavica holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism, Graphic Design, and Marketing from American University and has an educational background from Stratford University.
