Carlos Mantilla

Carlos Mantilla is a distinguished academic and medical professional with extensive experience at Mayo Clinic since 2001. Currently serving as a Professor of Anesthesiology and Physiology and as a Consultant in the Department of Anesthesiology, Carlos Mantilla has held the position of Chair at Mayo Clinic Rochester since April 2016. The educational background includes a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Molecular Neuroscience from the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, completed between 1998 and 2003, as well as specialized training in Pain Medicine from the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education. Carlos Mantilla also holds an M.D. in Medicine from Universidad del Rosario, obtained from 1986 to 1992.
