Monica Taylor-Desir

Monica Taylor-Desir is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as the Associate Program Director for the General Psychiatry Residency Program at Mayo Clinic Rochester and Co-Chair of Diversity and Inclusion for the Mayo Midwest Department of Psychiatry and Psychology. Additionally, Monica works as a consultant for Mayo Clinic and was a Fellow with Clinical Scholars, a leadership program supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Previous roles include Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Chief Medical Officer and Psychiatrist at Elbowoods Memorial Health Center, and Psychiatrist in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Health from Emory University, a Residency in Psychiatry from Emory University, an M.D. from the University of Cincinnati, and a B.A. in Psychobiology from Yale University.
