Fima Zaltsman has a diverse work experience in the field of biological research. Fima has worked as a Scientist II at Maze Therapeutics since 2021. Prior to this, Fima was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco from 2018 to 2021, where they focused on mapping protein-protein interaction networks related to autism spectrum disorder risk genes. Fima also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2011 to 2018, investigating signaling pathways in human pluripotent stem cells. Additionally, Fima gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from 2008 to 2011, studying the engineering of antibiotics, and as an NSF International REU Fellow at Université Pierre et Marie Curie in 2010, where they contributed to the characterization of cell-penetrating peptides.
Fima Zaltsman earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry from the University of Michigan, where they attended from 2007 to 2011. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2011 to 2018.
