Jessica Wahlers

Scientist I, Computational Chemistry at Maze Therapeutics

Jessica Wahlers has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Research Student at Villanova University, focusing on molecular dynamics calculations for sodium battery electrolytes. In addition, they served as a Teaching Assistant during the same period. From 2016 to 2021, Jessica worked at the University of Notre Dame, where they pursued their PhD and held various roles. These roles included being a PhD candidate/Research Assistant under the guidance of Dr. Paul Helquist and Dr. Olaf Wiest. Jessica also served as the President/VP of the Chemistry Graduate Student Organization, where they facilitated communication between students and faculty, organized meetings and events, and helped with fundraising and professional development. Furthermore, Jessica worked as a Teaching Assistant for general chemistry and organic chemistry courses, involving lab sections, tutorial sessions, and problem set creation. Currently, they work as a Scientist I, Computational Chemistry at Maze Therapeutics, beginning in November 2021.

Jessica Wahlers earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Villanova University, where they attended from 2012 to 2016. Jessica later pursued further studies and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame, where they studied from 2016 to 2021.
