Kevin Mellem

Kevin Mellem has a diverse work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry, starting with their current position as an Associate Director at Maze Therapeutics since October 2021. Before joining Maze Therapeutics, they worked as a Senior Scientist II in Medicinal Chemistry at the same company from February 2019 to October 2021.

Prior to that, Kevin worked as a Consultant at Third Rock Ventures from July 2018 to February 2019. Kevin also served as a Scientist II in Medicinal Chemistry at REVOLUTION Medicines from February 2016 to July 2018, and as a Scientist I in Medicinal Chemistry from December 2014 to February 2016.

Kevin's earlier experiences include working as the Director of Chemistry at Midasyn, Inc. from March 2014 to December 2014. Kevin also worked at Harvard University, where they held various roles such as a Postdoctoral Research Associate from November 2013 to March 2014, a Graduate Student in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology from September 2007 to November 2013, and a Teaching Fellow for Organic Chemistry from January 2008 to January 2013.

Additionally, Kevin worked as a Research Associate II in Materials Chemistry at the University of South Dakota from September 2006 to August 2007. Kevin began their career at the same university, where they held positions as a Supplemental Instructor for Organic Chemistry from September 2004 to May 2006 and as an Undergraduate Researcher for Organic Chemistry from May 2004 to August 2005.

Kevin Mellem earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of South Dakota, where they attended from 2002 to 2006. Following that, they pursued further education at Harvard University, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from 2007 to 2013.
