Nathan Sallee is an experienced professional in the field of functional genomics, currently serving as Director of Functional Genomics at Maze Therapeutics since June 2019, leading a team of eight scientists and research associates. Prior to this role, Nathan spent over a decade at Five Prime Therapeutics, Inc., where positions included Associate Director and Senior Scientist in Immuno-Oncology Discovery, focusing on functional screening and assay development. Nathan began the scientific career at UCSF, completing a PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Biology, with research on protein signaling mechanisms under the guidance of Professor Wendell Lim. Nathan's extensive background includes innovative projects in protein chemistry and functional genomics aimed at advancing drug discovery and therapeutic strategies.
