Trou's previous roles include Lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, Principal at Trou Studio, and Partner at Vollmer + Trou, with a focus on residential and commercial design, furniture, and product design. An early career included positions as Project Designer at Susman Tisdale Gayle and Intern Architect at Artadi Arquitectos. Trou holds a Master's degree in Architecture, Design & Theory from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
