Position Summary 

MBX Biosciences, Inc. is seeking to hire an IT Technician II to join our growing organization. This individual will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for the organization's computer systems, networks, and software applications. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting users with technical queries, and ensuring optimal performance of the IT infrastructure. The IT Technician will work closely with other IT staff to implement system upgrades, perform regular maintenance, and assist in deploying new technologies. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset are essential for this role to ensure efficient and effective IT operations within the organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Including but not limited to:   

  • Providing technical support to all MBX employees both in person and remotely. Installing and removing software, diagnosing, repairing technical issues, and assisting with the implementation of IT systems. 
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 software solution technologies, in addition to, multilabel hardware platforms (i.e. desktop, laptop, printer, conferencing equipment, mobile devices) 
  • Analyzes business process issues and/or problems and provides consulting assistance to system users. 
  • Conducts research on possible solutions and makes recommendations based on findings; develops proposals that outline feasibility and costs; suggests, designs, tests, implements and evaluates solutions. 
  • Oversees inventory of all IT assets and equipment and maintains adequate stock of computer equipment, peripherals, and accessories. 
  • Reporting to the Senior Director of IT, you will also help to ensure consistency within MBX Biosciences and will provide superior customer service to the MBX Bioscience employees.  
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.  

Education& Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or higher degree in computer science or a related field preferred. 
  • 3+ years of related experience with computers and IT support services.  
  • Technical knowledge of Network concepts/LAN, TCP/IP protocols, configure & setup routers and switches, current Windows operating systems, PC hardware (desktops and laptops), printers, Active Directory, Office 365, Windows Servers, and Virtual environments is required. 
  • Professional certification from CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCSA, MTA or CCNA is desired. 
  • Affable communicator with strong verbal communication skills. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff. 
  • Ability to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push, and pull items weighing 40 pounds or less.
