Dave Toms

Dave Toms is a registered landscape architect and LEED Accredited Professional with a specialization in neighborhood development. Since August 2018, Toms has served as the Practice Lead for Landscape Architecture at McAdams, following a tenure as Project Landscape Architect at ColeJenest & Stone from June 2011 to July 2018, where Toms provided design support on a variety of educational, municipal, and commercial projects. Notable works include the NCSU Wolf Ridge Student Housing and the ECU Founders Way Renovation. Additionally, Toms has academic experience as an Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University, contributing to urban life studies, and has held various roles including Editor in Chief of SHIFT:infrastructure and teaching assistant at the university. Earlier professional experiences include positions with the North Carolina Division of Parks & Recreation and the North Carolina Division of Water Quality, where Toms was involved in master planning and water quality initiatives. Toms holds a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from North Carolina State University.
