Joel Strickland

Joel Strickland serves as the Transportation Planning Practice Lead at McAdams since September 2023. Prior to this role, Strickland held the position of Senior Transportation Planner at AECOM from April 2022 to September 2023. Strickland was the Assistant Planning Director at Moore County Governmental Offices from November 2020 to April 2022 and served as Executive Director of the Fayetteville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization from June 2015 to October 2020. Additionally, Strickland acted as Planning Director for Cumberland County, NC, from November 2018 to October 2019 and was the RPO Director at the Mid-Carolina Council of Governments from August 2006 to June 2015. Strickland earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Fayetteville State University and a Master of Public Administration from The Graduate School at UNC Pembroke.
