Kelsey Hassevoort

Kelsey Hassevoort, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience. Kelsey is currently the Managing Director at McAllister & Quinn since March 2023. Previously, they worked at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as a Research Development Manager in Community-Academic Partnerships from September 2021 to February 2023. Kelsey also held various roles at the university, including Group Fitness Instructor from May 2014 to May 2022, Research Development Specialist in the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute from June 2019 to September 2021, Postdoctoral Research Associate from May 2018 to June 2019, and Graduate Research Assistant from August 2012 to May 2018.

Before their time at the University of Illinois, Kelsey worked at Kalamazoo College as a Supplemental Instruction Leader in the Biology Department from March 2011 to March 2012, and as a Teaching Assistant during the same time period. Kelsey also gained research experience at the University of Michigan as an Undergraduate Research Assistant supported by a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) fellowship in the Neuromotor Behavior Lab from June 2011 to August 2011. Kelsey also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Kalamazoo College from June 2010 to September 2010.

Kelsey Hassevoort, PhD, obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neuroscience from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the years 2012-2018. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology at Kalamazoo College from 2008 to 2012. During their undergraduate studies, they also spent a year abroad at the University of Aberdeen in 2010-2011. Additionally, Kelsey holds several certifications in various fields, including a TRX Group Training Certificate obtained from TRX Training in June 2015, a BODYPUMP Instructor certification from Les Mills International in February 2015, and a Certificate in Business Administration obtained from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in April 2013.
