Denish Bhavsar

Denish Bhavsar, CPA, CMA has extensive work experience in various finance and data governance roles. Denish is currently the Director of Global Data Governance at McCain Foods since October 2021. Before that, they worked at Aviva Canada from 2010 to 2021, where they held multiple positions including Head of Data Governance, Senior Manager in Business Transformation, and Manager in Business Partner Function. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Analyst at TSX Group from 2008 to 2010, and as a Senior Planning & Treasury Analyst at Chubb Insurance Company of Canada from 2005 to 2008. Denish also served as an Analyst at Celestica in 2005, and as a Fund Accountant at CIBC Mellon in 2004. Denish's expertise includes financial analysis, excel modeling, data strategy, and business transformation. Denish has led various initiatives to improve efficiency, conduct research on industry and economy, and implement budget applications.

Denish Bhavsar, CPA, CMA, completed their education at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 2007, earning a CPA, CMA degree. Prior to that, they attended Ryerson University from 2000 to 2004 and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Finance, General. In 2013, Denish obtained a certification as a Prince2 Practitioner from Prince2 - Learning Advantage. Denish also holds additional certifications in Business Writing Principles and Learning Data Governance, obtained from LinkedIn in 2021 and 2019 respectively.
