Michael McCallie is an accomplished guitarist and educator with extensive experience in teaching and managing guitar programs. Currently serving as the Director of the Guitar Program at McCallie School since June 2019, Michael has also operated a private teaching studio since June 2008, overseeing a diverse roster of over 35 students. As the Executive Director of GuitarChattanooga, an organization founded in 2015 to promote classical guitar in the Chattanooga area, Michael has orchestrated concerts and masterclasses with renowned international performers. Additionally, Michael holds adjunct professor positions at Chattanooga State Community College and has previously taught at various institutions, including Covenant College and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, where notable student accomplishments include admissions to prestigious music programs. Michael's educational background includes a Master of Music from Yale University and a Doctor of Music in Guitar Performance from Florida State University.
