Michael Wells, SHRM-CP, has extensive experience in human resources and organizational management, currently serving as a Senior Human Resources Generalist at McClatchy since June 2016, where responsibilities include leading employee communications and acting as a benefits and leave of absence backup for the East Region. Prior to this role, Michael was the Director of Human Resources and Facilities at the Lexington Herald-Leader for 27 years, overseeing all HR functions and facilities management. Earlier career roles include Human Resources Administrator at PDR Automated Systems and various personnel positions at Jerrico, Inc. Michael holds a B.A. in Organizational Management from Midway University and an A.S. in Business Management from the University of Kentucky.
