Pat Contreras

Pat Contreras is a business development executive who has spent their career in the construction industry. Pat currently serves as the Vice President of Business Development at McCownGordon Construction, LLC. Prior to their current role, they served as the Director of Business Development at McCownGordon Construction from June 2019 to January 2022.

Contreras began their career as a U.S. Diplomat/Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State in August 2008. Pat served in this role until January 2014, when they left to become a Coro Fellow with the Coro Leadership Center - St. Louis. After their fellowship, they worked as a consultant for Strategy, Business Development and Public Relations from February 2014 to April 2015.

In April 2015, Contreras ran for Treasurer of Jackson County MO, but was ultimately unsuccessful. From September 2014 to June 2016, they served on the Jackson County MO Veterans Task Force. In January 2014, they also became an advisor for the Theirpanic Heritage Foundation and in May 2015, they became a partner with the Truman National Security Project.

Pat Contreras has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Columbia University - School of International and Public Affairs. Their focus was on public and economy policy. Pat also has a degree in international business strategy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Their undergraduate degree is in economics and international business from Saint Louis University.
