Rushad Rakhimov

Rushad Rakhimov began their work experience in 2018 at Schlumberger, where they served as a Lead Well (Drilling) Engineer, Grade 11. In this role, they were responsible for leading the engineering cycle to deliver ERD wells for clients within the designated time and budget, ensuring safety and effectiveness. Rushad also conducted drilling program preparations, feasibility calculations, KPI tracking and evaluation, offset well analyses, and communicated with clients and subcontractors. Rushad'stenure at Schlumberger lasted until March 2022 when they transitioned into the position of a Data Scientist. As a Data Scientist at Schlumberger, Rushad was involved in ML product development for preventing stuck pipe and mud losses events. Rushad utilized various tools such as Python, JavaScript, SQL, and REST API and authored a publication on machine learning algorithms for predicting stuck pipe events. In March 2022, Rushad joined Accenture as a Data Science Lead. In this role, they focused on the development, implementation, and improvement of machine learning software products for heavy industries, including oil and gas, metallurgy, and coal mining. Rushad led a team of 5 engineers and had daily interactions with clients' product owners and stakeholders. Rushad also acted as a project lead for internal assessments of machine learning and data science platforms. Rushad's most recent role was as a Data Scientist at McDaniel, starting in June 2023.

Rushad Rakhimov completed their Bachelor of Applied Science in Petroleum Engineering from Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, with a duration of four years from 2014 to 2018. Following this, they pursued a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from the University of Calgary, specializing in that field. This degree took place between 2023 and 2024.
