James Clark is a distinguished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in electrical engineering and innovation. Currently serving as a member of the CVPR-ICCV Steering Committee at IEEE-PAMITC/CVF and as Co-Director of the McGill Retail Innovation Lab, James also holds the position of Professor and Director of the McGill University Centre for Intelligent Machines, along with serving as Associate Dean in the Faculty of Engineering since 1996. As a founder of technologie Cylonix, James has created notable hardware and software for electronic music systems, including the acclaimed Cyclonix Cyclebox and Intellijel Eurorack modules. Previous roles include General Chair for ICCV 2021 and research positions at institutions such as Nissan Cambridge Basic Research, Harvard University, and Université René Descartes. James holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
