Lisa Thiess

Lisa Thiess currently serves as the Director on the Board of Directors for Women in Mining Canada, advocating for an inclusive industry that empowers women. Since February 2019, Lisa has been the Mining Engineering Co-op Program Manager at McGill University, enhancing the educational experience for students in mining. Additionally, Lisa holds the position of Senior Recruitment Specialist for the AMER region at DRA Global, a diversified engineering and project delivery firm, and previously worked as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Ausenco and an International Recruitment Consultant at Drake Global Tech. With extensive experience in recruitment and account management in the mining and construction sectors, Lisa has also contributed as a Global Account Manager at Design Group Staffing Inc. and a Senior Consultant at Skye Recruitment. Lisa's early career includes a role as a Finance Consultant at Michael Page International, alongside a significant career break dedicated to global travel and cultural enrichment. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Economics from The University of Queensland, obtained in 2003.
