Richard Fennelly III

Richard E. Fennelly, III is a Partner in MKCI’s Hartford, CT office. He represents clients in product liability, personal injury, premises liability, environmental contamination, and tort litigation involving municipalities and schools.

In addition to his litigation experience, Richard is actively involved in MKCI’s website publication group, which tracks, analyzes, and prepares postings concerning cases of first impression and those which set significant legal precedent.

Richard is a barrister of the Oliver Ellsworth Inn of Court and a member of the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association.

In his leisure time, Richard is an avid hiker and has hiked extensively throughout northern Spain. In addition, Richard enjoys exploring national parks, as well as playing tennis and running.

Prior to joining MKCI in 2017, Richard worked at a prominent Connecticut law firm in the areas of land use, administrative law, and appellate practice.

Richard obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law, magna cum laude, and earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Spanish, magna cum laude, from Marist College. While in law school, Richard served as the Supervising Editor of the Quinnipiac University Probate Law Journal and was a Sappern Fellow. In addition, Richard served as a temporary assistant clerk for the judges of the Superior Court for the judicial district of New Haven, Connecticut.
