Paul Sweeney

Paul Sweeney has a diverse work experience. Paul started their career at KPMG Ireland in 1997, where they worked as a Manager until 2002. From there, they joined GOAL Global as a Financial Controller from 2002 to 2004. In 2005, Paul became a Partner at McGrathNicol and also served as the Chief Operating Officer from July 2016. More recently, in 2020, they joined Pacific Opera as a Non-Executive Director until 2023.

Paul Sweeney's education history includes obtaining a BBLS degree in Business and Law from University College Dublin in 1996, followed by an MAcc degree in Accountancy from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School in 1997. In 2017, Paul completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Paul also has additional certifications as a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland from Chartered Accountants Ireland.
