Hector Ortega

Hector Ortega is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry, currently serving as Senior Vice President at McGriff since June 2023. Ortega has a longstanding commitment to the Young Risk Professionals of San Antonio as a Founding Member since September 2013 and holds leadership roles at YRP - Young Risk Professionals of Texas, Inc. as both Finance Chair and Chair until January 2025. Prior experience includes nearly 15 years at Travelers, where Ortega advanced from Account Executive to Managing Director, overseeing public sector business profitability and growth, while also focusing on team development through mentoring and training. Ortega began the professional journey with an internship at AXA in 2007 after completing a Bachelor of Business Administration at St. Mary's University, concentrating on Corporate Financial Management and Risk Management.
