Betsy Key

Betsy Key currently serves as the Regional Attorney Recruiting Manager at McGuireWoods LLP, overseeing the recruitment of attorneys and law students for the firm's offices in Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, and Houston since December 2023. Previously, Betsy was the Associate Director of Career Services at Vanderbilt University from October 2016 to November 2023, providing career counseling to law students and managing employer outreach. Prior to this role, Betsy held the position of Assistant Director in the Office of Career Strategy at Washington and Lee University, where responsibilities included career development counseling and creating essential resources for students. Betsy's earlier experience includes recruitment management as the Director at Major, Lindsey & Africa, focusing on legal professionals in the Mid-Atlantic and South East, and serving as the Director of Recruitment at Hudson for project-based attorney placements. Betsy holds a Juris Doctor from Mississippi College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
