Sarah Campbell

Sarah is a partner in the Halifax office and has practiced business law since 2001. She routinely advises corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, secured transactions, and a variety of commercial law issues. She acts for lenders and borrowers in financing transactions. Sarah’s practice also includes corporate law, corporate reorganizations, and succession planning. She is experienced with taxation matters related to her practice area.

Sarah’s industry experience is broad, including work in sleep health, automotive, and fisheries. She works hard to understand her clients’ businesses and deliver strategic advice.

Sarah is the chair of McInnes Cooper’s Promotion of Women (POW) group and belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Tax Foundation, Nova Scotia’s Barristers’ Society, and the Law Society of Prince Edward Island. She currently serves as a director and Vice-Chair of the King’s-Edgehill School’s board of governors. Additionally, she was formerly a director of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation. Sarah is past chair of the Canadian Bar Association (Nova Scotia) Business Law Section and its Legislation and Law Committee. She previously acted as a director with the Nova Scotia Agricultural College Transition Board. Sarah has taught part-time at Dalhousie University and remains an active participant in various business and tax conferences across the Atlantic provinces. Sarah is ranked in The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and has been listed in Best Lawyers® 2022.
