Robert Purdon

Robert Purdon is a Senior Geoscientist at Egis in Canada since December 2022, bringing extensive experience in mine rehabilitation and environmental management. Prior to this role, Robert served as Mine Rehabilitation Project Manager at the Ontario Ministry of Energy, Northern Development and Mines from August 2018 to June 2022, focusing on acid rock drainage and metal leaching. Additional roles include Panel Review Analyst with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada and Mine Rehabilitation Specialist at the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, where expertise encompassed water quality, hydrogeology, and project management. Robert also managed the Steep Rock Mine Rehabilitation Project from 2009 to 2012 and held a Regional Hydrogeologist position at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment from 2003 to 2009. Robert's educational background includes a Master of Science in Geochemistry, Sedimentology, and Hydrology, an Honours Bachelor of Science in Geology, and a Mining Engineering Technician diploma from Haileybury School of Mines.
