Cody Simms

Cody Simms is a Managing Partner at MCJ, a venture capital firm focused on energy transition and climate change solutions, where responsibilities began in October 2021. Additionally, Cody serves as a Partner at Climate Changemakers since July 2020 and co-founded Levers in March 2021, holding a Board Member position. Prior experience includes senior leadership roles at Techstars from September 2013 to October 2021, overseeing climate and sustainability initiatives and managing the Disney Accelerator. Early career highlights include positions at StumbleUpon as Chief Product Officer, Yahoo! in various product management roles, and product management positions at The New York Times Company and Sprint. Cody has also contributed to academia as a Lecturer at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Educational qualifications include an MA from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA from The University of Kansas, complemented by intensive Chinese language study at Princeton University.
