Nilu Ekanayake

Nilu Ekanayake currently serves as Managing Chief Counsel for Enterprise Data Privacy, Security & Technology at McKesson, a position held since October 2024. Prior to this role, Nilu worked at Cardinal Health from December 2021 to October 2024, initially as Director of the Enterprise Privacy Office and previously as Senior Counsel for Privacy. Nilu also held the position of Privacy Program Manager at Exact Sciences from March 2021 to December 2021 and served as Associate General Counsel at The Ohio State University from May 2019 to February 2021, providing legal advice on various research-related matters. Earlier experience includes a role as Assistant General Counsel and Compliance Manager at Cardinal Health from January 2017 to May 2019. Nilu Ekanayake earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2014 and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on Management and Policy from The Ohio State University, completed in 2007.
