Donnie Morgan

A long-time McKibbon leader, Donnie joined got his start with us back in 2001 as the opening general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Savannah. He served as director of operations for the Clarkson Group, overseeing operations for three of their hotels across the southeast for a few years before returning to McKibbon in 2007 as interim general manager of the Courtyard in Athens, where his efforts and leadership improved the guest experience and overall results well above owner expectations.

He later went on to serve as general manager of the Residence Inn by Marriott in Savannah Downtown/Historic District, where his commitment to his team and his guests led the hotel to receive numerous accolades. In 2020, he has promoted to cluster general manager, a newly created position aimed at providing the three Savannah hotels with additional support and strategic leadership. His dedication and demonstrated expertise also led Donnie to be selected to serve on six McKibbon hotel opening teams, coaching new leaders, and establishing processes for success – one of his favorite aspects of the job.
